Career Prospects

An advanced degree in Sustainable Chemistry is a significant advantage for the students in the future job market in the Chemicals area.

Sustainable/Green Chemistry is the new name of Industrial Chemistry. The European Chemical Industry is the only industrial sector where Europe is still the dominant World power. The Ph.D. programme is focussed on Sustainable Chemistry as a means to attract young talents and promoting the leading position of Chemistry in the World markets.  Job opportunities for Green Chemists are expected to steadily grow in the future.

The University job market is also awakening for these new possibilities, and several advertisements for new Green Chemistry chairs appeared in the last year throughout Europe. This is a sign that opportunities for academic positions for Sustainable Chemistry are also on the raise.
